Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an OSP QC Engineer based in Cebu, Philippines. The role focuses on performing quality reviews of fiber overbuild, FTTH, and BAU work packages to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with client standards.

You will validate routing, placements, and overall FTTH network architecture, providing clear feedback to responsible design engineers. Ideal candidates possess experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation, GIS, and fiber design tools, and are detail-oriented

Qualifications

• BS in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ yrs OSP engineering/QC experience.
• Knowledge of FTTH architecture & fiber design standards.
• Experience with Telco client platforms is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills.
• Must reside in Cebu or be willing to relocate to Cebu.
• Must be willing to work on a shifting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive quality reviews of OSP engineering design packages (fiber overbuild, FTTH, BAU) ensuring accuracy and client standards.
• Review and validate F1/F2 fiber routing, splitter placements, terminal/splice point locations, and FTTH network architecture.
• Verify aerial, underground, and buried cable designs for cost-effective solutions and proper placement per scope.
• Identify design deficiencies and provide constructive feedback via QC checklists.
• Validate field data, KMZ files, photos, and route alignments before client submission.
• Ensure Corning FlexNap cable designs and distribution meet client requirements.
• Support first-time acceptance metrics by meeting all QC benchmarks before delivery.
• Maintain documentation standards and support QC process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform comprehensive quality reviews of all OSP engineering design packages, including fiber overbuild, FTTH, and BAU work orders, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with client standards
• Review and validate F1/F2 fiber routing, splitter placements, terminal and splice point locations, and overall FTTH network architecture
• Verify aerial, underground, and buried cable designs have been analyzed for cost-effective solutions and proper placement per client scope of work
• Identify design deficiencies that could impact network buildout and provide clear, constructive feedback to responsible design engineers via QC checklists
• Validate field-collected data, KMZ files, photos, and route alignments for accuracy and completeness prior to client submission
• Ensure Corning FlexNap cable designs, terminal placements, and cable count distribution standards meet client requirements
• Support first-time acceptance (FTA) metrics by ensuring designs meet all client quality control benchmarks before delivery
• Maintain documentation standards and support continuous improvement of QC processes across the offshore engineering team
