Job summary

HONOUR LANE LOGISTICS PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage daily freight forwarding activities, ensure efficient shipments, and uphold regulatory compliance.

You will oversee ERP workflow, coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and brokers to keep shipments moving smoothly. The role requires at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity within warehousing, storage, or distribution, plus strong inventory and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in warehousing, storage, or distribution.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations, and supply chain processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to changes.
• Proficient using warehouse management systems and data analysis tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations: ensure smooth execution of shipments, tracking, and delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and customs brokers: communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure timely movement of goods.
• Monitor shipment status and track progress: identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies: familiarize yourself with relevant laws and industry standards.
• Analyze operational data and optimize processes: identify areas for improvement and reduce costs.
• Supervise and support operations team: provide guidance, training, and performance coaching.
• Monitor carrier bookings through ERP system and pre-booking of carriers via ERP.
• Ensure timely and accurate vessel status updates in ERP.
• Assess performance of service providers such as brokers, truckers, and warehouses.
• Ensure rates with providers are applied correctly.
• Collaborate with CS and documentation teams to ensure timely information.

Job Purpose

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily activities of the freight forwarding operations team, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of shipments. This role includes overseeing the workflow in ERP systems, coordinating with external service providers, and driving process improvements while maintaining high levels of service and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations: Ensure smooth execution of shipments, tracking, and delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and customs brokers: Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure timely movement of goods.
• Monitor shipment status and track progress: Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Analyze operational data and optimize processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Supervise and support operations team: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance performance and productivity.
• Monitor carrier bookings of Booking/Operations team members thorugh ERP system
• Monitor pre-booking to carriers through ERP system
• Montior timely and acurrate update of any vessel status through ERP
• Monitor performance of service providers such as brokers, truckers, warehouse and others
• Ensure that rates agreed with service providers are correctly applied
• Effectively collaborate with CS and documentations team to ensure that needed documentations and information are available in a timely and accurate manner

Professional Skills

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the warehousing, storage, or distribution industry
• Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations, and supply chain processes
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and respond quickly to changes
• Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and data analysis tools
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to continuous improvement
