Job summary

JHA Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in Metro Manila seeks an experienced Operations and People Manager to lead day-to-day Philippine operations and local HR functions in a full-time role. You will partner with local leadership to implement scalable people practices, manage payroll and benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with Philippine labour laws.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Operations Manager, People & Culture Manager, HR Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine employment law and HR compliance.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
• Experience coordinating payroll and employee benefits.
• Operational capability including budgeting and facilities coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with stakeholders.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll or workforce management systems and Microsoft 365.
• Degree or professional qualification in HR, Business Administration or Management preferred.
• Experience in engineering, consulting or professional services would be highly regarded.
• Experience working with Australian organisations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations including office administration, facilities and suppliers.
• Oversee local HR activities across the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits and statutory requirements with providers.
• Develop and maintain local HR policies and employment practices.
• Provide HR guidance to managers and employees.
• Monitor people and operational metrics and report to management.
• Support workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
• Support local leadership with workforce planning and business initiatives.
