Job summary

Makro Philippines is seeking a Section Manager – General Affairs to lead the administrative, facilities, and support services across retail and wholesale locations. You will drive efficient operations, ensure compliance, and coordinate internal and external requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years in general affairs with supervisory experience, strong vendor management, budgeting, and a proactive approach to improving services and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years in general affairs, administration, facilities management, or ops support, with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the General Affairs section, ensuring efficient admin and support services.
• Oversee facilities management including maintenance, permits, repairs, utilities, security, housekeeping, and safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and service providers for timely, quality support services.
• Administer office/store requirements: supplies, equipment, permits, licenses, and documentation.
• Develop and implement standard procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and resource use to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, safety standards, and facility requirements.
• Lead expansion, renovation, relocation projects and facility improvements.
• Manage service contracts for facilities, security, cleaning, and transport.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify improvements, risks, and cost savings.
• Support business continuity and emergency plans for retail/wholesale.
• Coach and evaluate General Affairs team members to meet objectives.
• Prepare operational reports and recommendations for management.
