Job summary

Regent Construction International Inc in Cebu City is seeking a Document Controller to establish and maintain an organized filing and document control system for the project.

You will receive, register and distribute project documents, ensure latest revisions are used, and log contractor submissions. This onsite role offers regular hours with potential for permanent employment after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2 years experience as document controller in a construction company
• Willing to work onsite
• Must be a resident of Cebu City or nearby municipality; staff housing not provided
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Regular employee after probationary period

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an organized filing and document control system for the project
• Receive, register, classify, and distribute incoming and outgoing project documents
• Maintain the Document Control Log/Document Register and ensure all documents are properly recorded
• Ensure only the latest approved revision of drawings, specifications, and other controlled documents are circulated and used
• Monitor superseded, obsolete, or cancelled documents and archive appropriately
• Maintain electronic and hard-copy project records as required
• Ensure documents are properly named, coded, indexed, and stored for retrieval
• Control issuance and distribution of Drawings and Technical Documents
• Receive and log contractor submissions including Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, etc
• Route documents to engineer/consultant/PMO for review
• Control incoming/outgoing letters, memoranda, notices, transmittals, and emails
• Track responses from official correspondence
• Assist in handover document preparation
• Authority to return incomplete documents for correction
• Escalate overdue submissions to Construction Management Head
• Recommend improvements to document control and filing system
• Perform other tasks as assigned
