Job summary

MATEC Solar Power seeks a rolling stock electric drives technician/field engineer to support commissioning and warranty/service for Voith Turbo drive systems. You will diagnose hardware faults, replace components, and install software updates on-site in Manila.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, handling control system interfaces, and traveling to sites as needed to ensure rapid fault resolution and system reliability.

Qualifications

• Fluent English for communication with experts in Austria.
• Strong computer usage and basic software handling skills.
• General knowledge of computer based control systems like PLCs.
• Ability to read electric wiring plans and routing.
• Willingness to travel and visit rolling stock sites in Manila.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding in electric drive systems and wiring.
• Exchange of broken components and parts of the traction converter.
• Carry out system updates and software installations.
• Download and analyse fault logs from control units.
• Support commissioning teams during on-site tests.
• Travel to rolling stock locations for maintenance.
