Job summary

Sourcefit Philippines, Inc. seeks a National Material Quantity Surveyor to analyze plans and prepare detailed material takeoffs for flooring and related components. The role collaborates with Team Leads and a US-based Senior Estimator to ensure accurate estimates in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include RFIs, cost-saving suggestions, and adherence to National Estimating Standards. This onsite position in Manila requires imperial measurement proficiency and strong analytical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or Architecture or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years in quantity surveying, architecture, or engineering.
• Experience in material quantity takeoffs is desirable.
• Ability to read/interpret construction plans, US-based preferred.
• Highly analytical with attention to detail for accurate estimates.
• Proficiency with imperial measurements essential.
• MS Office and estimating software experience desirable; training provided.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to draft RFIs and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and analyze plans/specs to prepare detailed estimates for design stages (Budgetary, DD, CD, GMP).
• Ensure materials accounted for (flooring, trims, transitions, related components).
• Create material quantity estimates for flooring and related materials for bid packages.
• Draft project-specific RFIs for review by sales, architects, or contractors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities for material optimization and efficiency.
• Review own work and participate in two-level review with local Lead and US Senior Estimator.
• Follow National Estimating Standards and company guidelines for consistency.
• Collaborate with Team Lead and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
