Job summary

EL CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT GROUP INC. is seeking a Civil Engineer to supervise and manage construction activities for vertical and horizontal projects, ensuring safety, timely completion, and adherence to plans and standards.

The role requires coordinating workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and maintaining thorough site documentation, reports, and inspections. On-site work and travel are expected, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of site construction experience.
• Experience in vertical and horizontal construction projects.
• Strong site supervision and construction management experience.
• Ability to supervise workers effectively.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and site procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• PRC-licensed Civil Engineer preferred/required depending on project.
• Local applicants preferred.
• Willing to work on-site and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Manage and coordinate workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other site personnel.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and work progress.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure the quality of construction works.
• Coordinate with project management, consultants, contractors, and other relevant personnel.
• Interpret and review construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and maintain site reports, progress reports, quantity reports, and other required documentation.
• Identify construction issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions. Ensure compliance with site safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor project schedules and assist in ensuring that work targets and deadlines are met.
• Perform other engineering and site-related duties as assigned by management.
