Responsibilities

• Conduct role-specific and vessel-type-specific competence assessments.
• Make seafarer selection and endorsement decisions.
• Make officer promotion decisions and review disputed appraisals.
• Ensure interviews follow established content, structure and flow.
• Evaluate test results and qualifications for suitability.
• Support continuous improvement of assessment standards.
