Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Eng. or related field.
• Knowledge of construction materials, fabrication processes, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Experience in construction, fabrication, or materials management is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process Material Requests (MR) based on approved drawings, specifications, work schedules, and site requirements.
• Review material requests for accuracy, completeness, specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates.
• Verify material requirements against approved plans, drawings, BOQ, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments regarding material requirements.
• Monitor the status of material requests from preparation and approval through purchasing, delivery, and issuance.
• Maintain an updated Materials Request Monitoring Log and provide regular status reports.
• Oversee and coordinate fabrication activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review fabrication drawings, details, dimensions, and material specifications prior to fabrication.
• Monitor fabrication progress and ensure items are completed according to project schedule.
• Conduct or coordinate inspections of fabricated materials and components to verify dimensions, workmanship, quantity, and quality.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process Material Requests (MR) based on approved drawings, specifications, work schedules, and site requirements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of construction materials, fabrication processes, drawings, and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and able to monitor multiple activities and deadlines
• Willing to coordinate with both office and site/fabrication personnel
• Experience in construction, fabrication, engineering coordination, or materials management is an advantage
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting/engineering software is an advantage
