IES Builders and Development Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing, canvassing, pricing, and purchasing for construction and industrial projects.

You will coordinate with the Project Engineer, Sales, and Finance to ensure budget compliance and cost-effective procurement. Responsibilities include supplier canvassing, evaluating quotations, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery with proper documentation.

Competenze

• Graduate of any Engineering course; non-board passers and fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong background in procurement, sourcing, or canvassing is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier coordination skills are required.

• Handle procurement requests for project materials, equipment, tools, and consumables.
• Conduct supplier canvassing and obtain competitive quotations to support project costing.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Canvass and procure materials such as stainless steel, pipes, tubing, fittings, valves, structural steel, welding consumables, bolts, fasteners, fabrication supplies.
• Process approved purchase requests and purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Sales Department, Finance, and suppliers regarding material specifications, pricing, budget availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Maintain complete procurement documentation, including quotations, canvass sheets, purchase orders, and delivery records.
• Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage material sourcing, canvassing, pricing, and purchasing for construction and industrial projects. The role involves coordinating with the Project Engineer and Sales Department for supplier quotations and project costing, while working with Finance to ensure budget compliance and cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement requests for project materials, equipment, tools, and consumables.

• Conduct supplier canvassing and obtain competitive quotations for requests from the Project Engineer and Sales Department to support project costing and client quotations.

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Canvass and procure materials such as stainless steel, pipes, tubing, fittings, valves, structural steel, welding consumables, bolts, fasteners, fabrication supplies, and other project requirements.

• Process approved purchase requests and purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.

• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Sales Department, Finance, and suppliers regarding material specifications, pricing, budget availability, and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a technical or engineering-related background and relevant procurement experience are also encouraged to apply.

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or material canvassing is an advantage.

• Knowledge of construction materials, industrial supplies, and fabrication materials is an advantage.

• Strong negotiation, supplier coordination, and communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Excel and procurement documentation.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple procurement requests efficiently.
