Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a confident, organized Mortgage Broker Business Development Specialist (NZ Market) to support lending origination through proactive broker outreach, relationship building and targeted lead generation. You will build relationships with mortgage brokers, gather initial deal details and coordinate handovers to in-house BDMs.

This role emphasizes outbound outreach, prioritizing broker relationships, and contributing ideas to strengthen the origination pipeline.

Qualifications

• Must-have: strong English communication and professional telephone manner.
• Experience in outbound business development, lead generation or relationship-based sales.
• Confident in making outbound calls and developing broker relationships.
• Strategic, commercially-minded with ability to identify opportunities and improve outreach.
• Able to translate ideas into consistent daily activity and follow-up.
• Able to ask relevant questions, listen carefully and summarize information clearly.
• CRM proficiency and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to mortgage brokers to introduce lending services and identify opportunities.
• Build relationships with new and existing brokers through regular contact.
• Re-engage brokers who previously contacted or referred business.
• Identify brokers' needs and match lending services using approved information.
• Coordinate discussions with the appropriate BDM and prepare concise deal summaries.
• Maintain broker records in the CRM and track outreach and next steps.
• Provide weekly reporting on broker conversations, relationships, opportunities and pipeline progress.
