Job summary

Advanced Energy, a global leader in precision power and control technologies, seeks a Purchasing Team Lead to drive procurement for New Product Introductions and localization efforts. You will partner with Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure material readiness and supplier capability for successful product launches.

The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and focuses on strategic sourcing, cost management, and building resilient supplier networks across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management principles.
• Understanding of supply chain management, inventory planning, and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, including Oracle and iPro.
• Familiarity with commodity management, contract negotiations, and cost management.
• Understanding of customer relationship management and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for NPI programs from concept development through mass production.
• Ensure material readiness to support engineering builds, EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot runs, and production ramp-up activities.
• Proactively manage and resolve material shortages, long lead-time items, and supply chain risks to prevent program delays.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Planning, Quality, and Commodity Management teams to achieve project milestones.
• Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, manufacturing sites, internal stakeholders, and customers regarding NPI material requirements.
• Monitor NPI kit readiness and provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation reports to management.
