Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead sourcing for direct materials across global sites.

You will ensure material readiness, supplier capability, and cost competitiveness aligned with the product roadmap. Reporting to the Director, Purchasing, you will oversee supplier selection, early engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience.
• Experience with direct materials and NPI environments.
• Strong supplier relationship management and issue resolution experience.
• Proficient in SAP and/or Ariba; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities supporting NPI and engineering builds with timely direct materials.
• Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies for direct materials.
• Partner with Engineering, R&D, and Program Management to influence DfX and resilience.
• Drive cost reduction and monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost).
• Provide management support for strategic procurement activities.
• Develop cost-effective sources of supply aligned with growth strategies.
• Evaluate price trends, new products, and manufacturing processes to improve performance.
• Develop and administer supplier contracts covering costs, schedules, SLAs, and continuity.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members; foster productivity improvements.
