Optum in Alabang is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support patients through financial clearance for scheduled services. You will verify insurance, secure authorizations, and explain financial responsibilities, coordinating with patients, insurers, and healthcare teams.

The role suits those with healthcare customer service or revenue cycle experience, comfortable with EMR systems and US payer concepts, and willing to work night US hours onsite.

Formación

• High school graduate or senior high school graduate.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare RCM or related areas.
• Experience in insurance verification or patient access.

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information.
• Obtain and validate required authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Review medical necessity requirements and process documentation.
• Calculate and communicate estimated patient financial responsibility.
• Contact patients to verify demographic, insurance, and financial data.
• Educate patients on benefits, billing, payment options, and assistance programs.
• Collect payments and assist with payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate patient records per standards.
• Follow compliance, privacy, and data security protocols.
• Escalate accounts not meeting financial clearance.
