Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare RCM, patient access, or related support.
• Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, and patient registration is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details for patients.
• Obtain and validate required authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Review medical necessity and document supporting information.
• Communicate estimated patient financial responsibility and out-of-pocket costs.
• Contact patients to verify demographics and financial data.
• Educate patients on benefits, billing, payment options, and financial assistance.
• Collect payments and assist with payment arrangements.
• Complete MSP requirements and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure privacy compliance.
• Escalate accounts not meeting financial clearance requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and address inquiries.
