Optum is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support patients through the financial clearance process before scheduled healthcare services. You will verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and explain financial responsibilities while maintaining accurate records.

This onsite role in Alabang requires strong communication with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare teams. Night shift aligning with US hours, prior experience in healthcare RCM or patient access is

Qualifications

• High school graduate or senior high school graduate.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management or healthcare customer service.
• Experience with insurance verification or authorization.
• Experience with patient registration or access.
• Experience with medical billing or collections or healthcare payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits and coverage information.
• Obtain and validate required authorizations, referrals and pre-certifications.
• Review medical necessity requirements and process documentation.
• Calculate and communicate estimated patient financial responsibility.
• Contact patients to verify demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits, billing processes and payment options.
