Job summary

General Motors in Manila seeks a data engineering/analytics professional to unify sales reports, build a trusted data lakehouse, and deliver AI-powered insights. You will own data ingestion, modeling, and visualization across Databricks and Power BI, shaping proactive KPI monitoring for the SSM function.

You will work on a hybrid schedule, collaborating with global teams to drive faster, data-driven decisions and scalable reporting across the sales funnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Sales or Subscription
• 3-5 years in Data Engineering/Data Analytics/Data Science or related field
• Experience with Unity Catalog and a governed Lakehouse
• Hands-on Databricks experience (Databricks SQL/Spark)
• Experience building automated ingestion into Databricks via Azure Data Factory
• Strong SQL skills and ability to query large datasets
• Proficient in building dashboards on Databricks Visualizer; Power BI required
• Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus
• Knowledge of AI/Genie and proactive KPI-risk alerts is a plus
• Ability to design data models, relationships, hierarchies and calculated measures

Responsibilities

• Unify existing sales reports into a single, connected view of the end-to-end sales funnel
• Improve sales performance by identifying conversion gaps and inventory inefficiencies
• Establish a foundation for intelligent analytics with standardized KPIs and AI-driven insights
• Create a unified semantic layer on Databricks Visualizer for consistent reporting
• Enhance reports with drilldowns and multi-dimensional analysis
• Design, implement and own the Genie-based agent layer for Q&A and KPI-risk insights
• Ingest data using Azure Data Factory into Databricks and monitor data flows
• Model and cleanse data for tracking KPIs across the funnel
• Develop interactive dashboards on Databricks Visualizer and Power BI
• Conduct trend, predictive, and segmentation analyses across the funnel
• Automate Excel/email-based reports to self-service data
• Combine data sources into a central Databricks environment
