Job summary

Amentum seeks a Galley Accountant to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will manage Navy food service accounting records, ensure compliance with Navy regulations, and maintain accurate records in manual and automated systems.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in Navy food service records management, proficiency with the FSM software, and the ability to travel internationally with a valid passport. High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of Navy food service records management experience.
• Proficiency with the latest FSM software and ability to handle paper logs when offline.
• Certification from Navy Records and Returns School.
• Certification from Navy Records and Returns School for monthly balance closeouts.
• Familiarity with Navy accountability systems, directives, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Navy food service accounting records in manual and automated formats.
• Use FSM to prepare and manage records per Navy standards.
• Prepare reports and returns per Navy protocols and timelines.
• Reconcile records to ensure accuracy and compliance with DoD/Navy guidelines.
• Ensure records conform to Navy directives and policies.
• Support audits with accurate documentation.
• Prepare financial summaries and reconciliation for Navy food service ops.
• Collaborate with food service staff and auditors on record-keeping policies.
• Assist others in understanding proper accounting record practices.
