Private Advertiser is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and availability of the company’s fleet of garbage trucks, dump trucks, roll-on/roll-off trucks, and other heavy equipment in the Philippines.
You will ensure safety, legal compliance, and cost-efficient uptime by coordinating maintenance, fleet records, and driver compliance, while collaborating with Operations, Safety, Procurement, and Finance to minimize downtime.
Responsible for the overall management, operation, maintenance, and availability of the company's fleet of waste collection vehicles, trucks, service vehicles, heavy equipment, and other mobile assets. Ensures that all vehicles and equipment are safe, roadworthy, properly maintained, legally compliant, and available for daily operations.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance
Coordinate vehicle dispatch
Manage fuel and parts
Maintain fleet records
Ensure driver compliance
Supervise the performance of mechanics and motorpool personnel
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Procurement, and Finance to minimize vehicle downtime
Control fleet-related operating costs
Licensed Mechanical Engineer (for positions where the role or company requirements call for such professional credentials)
Experience managing a fleet of garbage trucks, dump trucks, roll-on/roll-off trucks, compactors, loaders, excavators, or other heavy equipment
Experience in waste management, construction, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or similar industries
Training in fleet management, automotive diagnostics, occupational safety, or preventive maintenance
Knowledge of fleet management software, GPS/vehicle tracking systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Knowledge of Philippine vehicle registration, road safety, and fleet compliance requirements
