Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Mission Leader to advance mission integration, spiritual care support, ethical leadership and Catholic identity across Global Business Services operations. The Mission Leader is responsible for advancing mission integration, spiritual care support, ethical leadership and Catholic identity across Global Business Services operations. This role partners with leaders, associates and ministry stakeholders to ensure mission-centered practices are embedded in daily operations, culture, associate engagement and service delivery.
Operating within a Global Business Services environment, this role supports cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence and mission-driven outcomes while strengthening organizational culture and supporting U.S. healthcare ministry initiatives.
Lead mission integration initiatives that promote spirituality, ethics, Catholic social teaching and a mission-centered culture across assigned teams and functions.
Implement mission priorities, programs and performance measures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and measurable results.
Provide guidance on the application of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services and Catholic moral teaching relevant to healthcare operations in the Philippines.
Support ethics consultation processes in collaboration with organizational ethics leaders and key stakeholders.
Manage chaplain scheduling, staffing coordination and coverage planning to ensure timely and effective spiritual care support.
Collaborate with spiritual health leaders, chaplains and operational teams to coordinate support for associates, patients, families and ministry needs.
Build strong relationships with leaders and associates through regular engagement, consultation, coaching and rounding activities.
Deliver mission formation, orientation and educational programs that strengthen understanding of organizational mission, values, Catholic heritage and ethical responsibilities.
Develop and execute outreach and sponsorship initiatives aligned with organizational mission and global outreach strategies.
Oversee relationships with mission partners, faith-based organizations and community stakeholders to support outreach goals and program effectiveness.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen associate engagement, values-based recognition programs and community partnerships.
Participate in leadership meetings, operational committees and mission-related forums to support organizational priorities and effective resource stewardship.
Monitor assigned budgets, schedules and operational resources to ensure effective utilization and alignment with business objectives.
4 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, mission leadership, pastoral care, faith-based organizations or related environments required.
Experience leading organizational culture, mission integration, ethics, spiritual care or community outreach initiatives required.
Experience within Catholic healthcare systems preferred.
Practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church preferred.
Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders preferred.
Master's Degree in Theology, Religious Studies or related discipline required.
Candidates currently pursuing a Master's Degree may be considered with a commitment to complete the degree within two years of hire.
Strong knowledge of Catholic social teaching, Catholic moral teaching and mission integration principles.
Knowledge of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Understanding of spiritual care practices, chaplaincy operations and associate well-being programs.
Ability to facilitate formation programs, workshops and educational sessions.
Strong leadership, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to influence organizational culture and drive mission-centered outcomes.
Strong planning, organizational and project management capabilities.
