Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila is seeking a Healthcare Risk & Compliance Supervisor to lead the Manila-based Compliance team and ensure service delivery aligns with U.S. healthcare standards.

You will supervise privacy practices, oversee Data Privacy Act compliance, coach the team, manage performance and collaborate with U.S.-based leaders to drive efficiency and continuous improvement within the GBS operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare compliance experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams or in a supervisory role.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based operations preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, audit readiness and healthcare standards.
• Knowledge in process improvement and performance management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HIPAA privacy practices and monitor compliance risks.
• Oversee Data Privacy Act policy implementation, incident handling and privacy alignment.
• Lead, coach and develop Compliance team members supporting U.S.-based operations.
• Manage team performance including goal setting, reviews, coaching and development.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based Compliance leaders to align on priorities and staffing.
• Monitor productivity, SLAs, quality and operational metrics to ensure targets are met.
• Facilitate team meetings and development planning activities.
• Resolve employee relations concerns with HR and leadership.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization and scalability.
• Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards and healthcare requirements.

Job Summary
The Healthcare Risk & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day operations and people management for the Manila-based Compliance team, ensuring consistent service delivery and alignment with U.S. healthcare compliance standards. Operating within a Global Business Services environment, this role drives team performance, supports cross-functional collaboration and ensures achievement of service level agreements and quality outcomes.

What you'll do

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations by overseeing privacy practices, monitoring compliance risks, and guiding teams on proper handling of protected health information.
• Supervise compliance with the Data Privacy Act, including policy implementation, documentation, incident handling, and ensuring organizational alignment with privacy standards.
• Lead, coach and develop Compliance team members supporting U.S.-based operations
• Manage team performance including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching and career development
• Collaborate with U.S.-based Compliance leaders to align on priorities, staffing and escalation processes
• Monitor productivity, service level agreements, quality and operational metrics to ensure delivery targets are achieved
• Facilitate team meetings, feedback sessions and development planning activities
• Resolve employee relations concerns including performance issues, attendance and escalations in partnership with Human Resources and leadership
• Improve operational processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency, standardization and scalability
• Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, confidentiality standards and healthcare compliance requirements

What you bring

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance required
• 5+ years of experience leading teams or in a supervisory or lead capacity required
• Experience supporting U.S.-based operations or shared services environments preferred
• Knowledge in regulatory compliance, audit readiness and healthcare compliance standards required
• Knowledge in process improvement and performance management preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Administration, Business Administration or related field required
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration or related field preferred

Certifications

• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) – Health Care Compliance Association preferred
