BDO Unibank in Tanauan, Batangas—Philippines is seeking a Loan Officer to drive microfinance loan growth while ensuring profitability and sound credit quality. You will solicit loan accounts, assess applicants, and coordinate processing with banking units to deliver reliable service.

The role requires a 4-year degree, strong sales and communication skills, basic math, integrity, and willingness to drive a motorcycle. Proficiency in Word/Excel and field experience in microfinance are advantages.

Qualifications

Graduate of any 4-year degree program.
Strong selling, communication, and customer service skills.
Basic mathematical knowledge.
Preferably familiar with Word and Excel; fieldwork and sales in microfinance an advantage.
Willingness to drive a motorcycle.

Responsibilities

Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet the customer’s needs.
Analyze overall loan applicant qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Initiates credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts.
Coordinates with concerned officers and/or other units related to processing and servicing loan applications.
Ensures adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures.
Execute sales and/or marketing activities to achieve volume targets.
Attends to inquiries and other requirements of the clients.
Review and update customer loan files and loan agreements for credit processing.
Perform other functions that may be assigned to him/her.
