The ideal candidate will have over 2.5 years of experience in the field, proficiency in AdvancedMD and Nextech software, and a keen attention to detail. Qualifications

• Min 2.5 years of proven experience in medical billing and insurance verification, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Proficiency in AdvancedMD and Nextech software is required.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit insurance claims for Ophthalmology services.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments and procedures.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, identifying and resolving issues.
• Review and correct coding errors to ensure proper claim submission.
• Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Stay up to date on insurance policies and billing guidelines.
• Work closely with physicians, office staff, and insurance providers.

• Stay up to date on insurance policies, ophthalmology billing guidelines, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance).
• Work closely with physicians, office staff, and insurance providers to streamline the billing process and improve reimbursement rates.
