Job summary

ISTA Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join its offshore/onshore team in the Philippines. The role focuses on verifying benefits, reviewing patient bills, and following up on unpaid claims while delivering excellent customer support via phone, email, and chat.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in a US healthcare BPO, strong English communication, empathy, and the ability to work night shifts onsite in Makati or Mandaluyong.

Qualifications

• 6 months - 1 year BPO experience in a US healthcare account
• Knowledge of medical claims, benefits, eligibilities, appeals
• Familiar with US healthcare insurance (Medicare, Medicaid)
• Excellent verbal & written English skills
• Willing to work onsite in Makati or Mandaluyong
• Amenable to night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via phone, email, and chat.
• Resolve issues and address inquiries to ensure satisfaction with products or services.
• Collaborate with colleagues and different departments to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, feedback, etc.
• Perform eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.
• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain missing information.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
• Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.
