Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our Clark, Pampanga team. In this onsite night-shift role, you will handle inbound/outbound calls, update patient billing information, rebill denials, and process payments through our portal.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BPO experience in healthcare is required.
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, claims processing, or related revenue cycle functions.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to/from patients, insurance representatives, onsite counterparts, doctors, and law offices when applicable.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information from patients and authorized entities.
• Adjust claim/patient information and rebill corrected claims for denials when applicable.
• Post payments made by patients or their representatives through the company's online payment portal or by mail.
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by direct supervisor/manager and/or onshore billing manager.

Your Role

• Perform inbound and outbound calls to/from patients, insurance representatives, onsite counterparts, doctors, and law offices when applicable.
• Update the billing system with pertinent patient information coming from patients and other authorized entities.
• Adjust claim/patient information details and rebill corrected claims for denials when applicable.
• Post payments made by patients or by their representatives through the company's online payment portal partner (electronic and/or mailed payments).
• Comply with and execute ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor/manager and/or onshore billing manager.

Non-negotiables

What You Need:

• At least 1 year of BPO experience in a healthcare account
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, claims processing, or a related healthcare revenue cycle function
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable handling calls and communicating with patients, insurance representatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with billing and patient information

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Knowledge of medical coding and US healthcare billing
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS is highly preferred
• Experience handling US healthcare accounts, insurance, claims, or patient billing is an advantage
