Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, insurance claims, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle management preferred.
• Familiarity with EOBs, denials, reconsiderations, and appeals.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for investigating and resolving claim issues.
• Good written communication skills for appeal documentation and account notes.
• Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process DME charge entries accurately and on time across multiple clinic locations.
• Review and follow up on denied or underpaid insurance claims, then prepare and submit reconsiderations and appeals with supporting documentation.
• Correct billing, coding, demographic, and insurance issues to ensure proper claim processing and reimbursement.
• Review EOBs and payer determinations, ensuring payments, denials, and contractual adjustments are reflected in the billing system.
• Maintain accurate patient account balances and document all follow-ups, corrections, and updates.
• Coordinate with internal billing teams and escalate unusual denial patterns or recurring payer issues for review.
