Job summary

Austal Philippines Pty Limited is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead tradesmen in shipbuilding, ensuring safe, on-time, quality work aligned with budgets and standards.

The role requires 3+ years in trade-specific shipbuilding, supervisory experience, and strong leadership and planning abilities. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and MS Office is expected; knowledge of HSE practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any relevant course or degree (Trade course is an advantage).
• At least 3 years' experience in trade-specific shipbuilding.
• Hands-on technical know-how in trade-specific drawing interpretation.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and first aid (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily/weekly task plans aligned with production goals.
• Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with HSE protocols (JSEA, PPE, Permits).
• Monitor labour and material usage, reduce rework, and promote cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Track team skills and performance and implement coaching and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and Austal's values across the department.
