Job summary

E&R Builders and Management Services, Inc. seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to supervise and monitor mechanical works for ER facility renovations and construction. You will review plans, specs, and submittals, and oversee HVAC and related systems from installation to commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 10–15 years in construction/MEPFS, and strong leadership and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders; PRC license is preferred.

Qualifications

• PRC licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction/MEPFS.
• Healthcare, hospital, or institutional project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in HVAC and mechanical systems for building construction or renovation.
• Familiarity with mechanical construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical works for the renovation and construction of Emergency Room facilities
• Review and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals
• Oversee HVAC and other mechanical systems, ensuring proper installation, testing, and commissioning
• Coordinate mechanical works with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Architectural, Structural, and other project disciplines
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor contractors' compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related concerns
• Review material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and other technical documents
• Monitor work progress and provide technical input to ensure timely completion of project activities
• Identify and address technical issues, discrepancies, and potential construction conflicts
• Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• PRC Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred
• At least 10–15 years of relevant professional experience in construction, building renovation, or MEPFS projects
• Hospital, healthcare, medical facility, or institutional project experience is highly preferred
• Strong experience in HVAC and mechanical systems, particularly for building construction or renovation projects
• Familiarity with mechanical construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals
• Experience in coordinating with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multiple project disciplines
• Knowledgeable in applicable Philippine mechanical codes, standards, and construction practices
• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple site and technical concerns
