Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare mechanical systems, plans, calculations, specifications, and drawings.

Job Summary

Responsible for the design, preparation, coordination, and technical review of mechanical systems for building and construction projects. The role ensures designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements and supports implementation from design through construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare mechanical systems, plans, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.

• Design systems including HVAC, plumbing, sanitary/drainage, fire protection, and other mechanical building systems.

• Sign and seal mechanical engineering plans and design documents within the scope of professional practice.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine codes, standards, and regulations.

• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, civil, and other engineering disciplines.

• Review shop drawings, material/equipment submittals, technical specifications, and design revisions.

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical solutions to design and installation issues.

• Provide technical support during pre-construction, construction, testing, and commissioning.

• Assist in quantity takeoff, cost estimation, value engineering, and system optimization.

• Participate in design coordination meetings, project planning, and client/contractor consultations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Professionally Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PME) with a valid PRC license.

• Must be qualified and authorized to sign and seal mechanical engineering plans and designs.

• With experience in mechanical design for construction/building projects, preferably ground-up projects.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and mechanical design/drafting software.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and fire protection systems.

• Knowledge of applicable Philippine mechanical, building, fire safety, and construction codes.

• Strong technical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
