Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, particularly in HVAC design, mechanical systems, and AutoCAD drafting. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, construction drawings, and HVAC systems, with the ability to coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and develop mechanical and HVAC plans, layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Design and review HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, ventilation, and equipment layouts.

  • Interpret engineering plans, specifications, and project requirements.

  • Conduct HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and basic mechanical calculations.

  • Prepare material take-offs, equipment schedules, and other technical documentation.

  • Review mechanical drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and standards.

  • Coordinate mechanical and HVAC designs with Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural disciplines.

  • Conduct site inspections and assist in resolving mechanical/HVAC issues encountered during construction.

  • Monitor the installation and implementation of mechanical and HVAC works to ensure quality and compliance with approved plans.

  • Assist in preparing project reports, technical submissions, and documentation.

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams as needed.

  • Perform other mechanical engineering and project-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) preferred/required, depending on the role.

  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, construction, MEPF, or HVAC projects.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, particularly in preparing mechanical and HVAC drawings.

  • Experience in HVAC design, installation, or project coordination.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and ventilation.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes and standards.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Willing to work onsite and conduct project/site visits when required.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Revit MEP or other BIM software is an advantage.

  • Experience in HVAC load calculations and equipment selection.

  • Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or fit‑out projects.

  • Knowledge of MEPF coordination and construction practices.

  • Familiarity with Philippine mechanical and building regulations.
