We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman / BIM Modeller to support an Australian-based mechanical services contractor specializing in HVAC installation and maintenance projects. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality shop drawings, coordination models, and as-built documentation using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced drafting professional with strong HVAC and building services experience who can work independently while supporting project delivery across multiple Australian construction projects.
This role is based in Quiot Pardo, Cebu, with the possibility of remote/work-from-home arrangements for exceptional candidates. Team placement will determine the final setup.
You will be working with an established Australian mechanical services contractor with operations across Melbourne, Perth, and the Philippines. As their project portfolio continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical BIM Modeller to support project delivery through the preparation of accurate shop drawings, BIM coordination models, and technical documentation for Australian construction projects.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Building Services, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical services drafting within a building services environment.
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
Proven experience producing mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical services layouts, and construction documentation requirements.
Experience working with BIM workflows and coordination processes.
Familiarity with BIM coordination software such as Navisworks.
Strong knowledge of Australian mechanical services standards, construction practices, and documentation requirements.
Experience preparing equipment schedules, specifications, technical reports, and supporting project documentation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify constructability issues and scope gaps.
Previous experience supporting Australian mechanical services or HVAC contractors.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale building services projects.
Exposure to clash detection and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
Experience collaborating with offshore and international project teams.
Knowledge of Australian energy efficiency regulations and compliance requirements.
Producing detailed mechanical shop drawings for HVAC systems using Autodesk Revit.
Fabrication, installation, and coordination drawings to support construction projects.
Preparing as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
Reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and contract documents to identify constructability issues and design conflicts.
Coordinating with project managers, mechanical engineers, estimators, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and project compliance.
Maintaining and improving BIM standards, templates, and drafting workflows.Preparing technical documentation and equipment schedules.
BIM coordination activities and assist in resolving multidisciplinary design clashes.
