Job summary

Outsourcey is seeking a mathematics tutor to join our team in the Philippines. The role involves tutoring across multiple mathematical topics up to Calculus, explaining concepts clearly, and guiding students through problems step by step.

Candidates should have at least 2.5 years of math experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with TI-84 calculators, Excel, and Word. The position emphasizes accuracy, detail, and independent work in a remote, VPN-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years of proven math experience with Calculus knowledge.
• Ability to teach math concepts clearly at multiple levels.
• Proficient in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.
• Experience tutoring or teaching math is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with TI-84 calculator; strong MS Excel/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mathematics tutoring across multiple skill levels.
• Teach mathematics subjects through Calculus.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and in a way that is easy for students to understand.
• Help students work through mathematical problems step by step.
• Review student work and identify mathematical errors.
• Explain mistakes and demonstrate the correct problem-solving process.
• Check calculations, formulas, equations, and answers for accuracy.
• Review completed work carefully before submission.
• Assist with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and other mathematics subjects as needed.
• Adapt explanations based on the student's current understanding and skill level.
• Use graphing calculators when solving and demonstrating mathematical problems.
• Use the Texas Instruments TI-84 graphing calculator for applicable assignments and instruction.
• Assist students with understanding appropriate graphing calculator functions and processes.
• Create, review, and organize mathematics-related documents and materials.
• Enter and organize information using Microsoft Excel.
• Use Excel formulas, spreadsheets, tables, and other functions as required.
• Create, edit, review, and format documents using Microsoft Word.
• Proofread academic and administrative materials for accuracy.
• Identify inconsistencies, missing information, formatting problems, and other errors.
• Correct errors accurately while maintaining the intended content and formatting.
• Follow established procedures, templates, and detailed instructions.
• Learn new processes and procedures as assignments evolve.
• Complete assigned academic and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain organized electronic files and records.
• Perform data entry and spreadsheet updates when required.
• Copy, organize, format, and review information across documents and systems.
• Conduct basic research when required for assigned tasks.
• Communicate clearly and professionally through written messages and email.
• Respond to questions and provide clear explanations when additional clarification is needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and business information.
• Use a VPN when required for specific assignments or systems.
• Maintain reliable internet connectivity while completing assigned work.
• Independently check completed work for accuracy before submitting it.
• Meet assigned deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with additional mathematics tutoring, academic support, document review, data entry, and administrative responsibilities as needed.

Profile Requirements:
