Job summary

Eastern Pacific Shipping is seeking an Executive to join the Marine HR – Payroll team in Manila. You will handle monthly ship accounts, crew allotments, pension claims, and radio accounts, ensuring accurate payments and timely processing for our seafarers.

Ideal candidates have a solid grounding in accounting, meticulous attention to detail, and strong MS Excel skills. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is a plus, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams across the shipping group.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE A Level qualification with knowledge of accounting.
  • 2–3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in shipping.
  • Meticulous, hands-on, and able to deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Oracle Fusion is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process monthly ship accounts for assigned vessels, and export monthly portage bills accurately and on time.
  • Review and control allotment bank details, and process monthly crew allotments for assigned vessels.
  • Assist in Cash to Master arrangements and conduct Master’s briefings on ship accounts reporting.
  • Compile monthly Victualling & Slopchest reports and Port Representation reports for management review.
  • Administer special allotments and process radio invoices for approval, including preparation of journal entries and payment.
  • Calculate and process crew pension claims, arrange payments, and prepare journal entries for pension redemption.
  • Prepare journal entries for Field Staff and New Building site-office staff costs.
  • Update departmental records, including the Records Matrix and on-the-job training plans, as required.
  • Attend to vessel email correspondence on Crew Accounts matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the shipping industry.
  • Meticulous, hands-on, and able to deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive and professional work attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion is an advantage.
