Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. is seeking a Production Manager to oversee planning, scheduling and control of manufacturing operations. The role focuses on achieving targets, optimizing manpower and material use, minimizing waste, and maintaining equipment reliability.

Responsibilities include leading production teams, ensuring SOP compliance, monitoring KPI performance, and driving continuous improvement while upholding safety and QHSE standards.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling and operational management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Knowledge of Quality Management and production quality control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules in coordination with Planning, Sales, Stores, QC, Maintenance and Logistics.
• Ensure production activities follow SOPs, work instructions, formulations and process parameters.
• Monitor production performance against targets and take corrective actions.
• Establish, monitor and review production KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, quality, downtime, waste and cost.
• Lead and manage production teams and ensure efficient manpower utilization.
• Allocate manpower and resources according to production requirements and priorities.
• Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials, packaging materials and equipment.
• Promote lean manufacturing, process optimization and continual improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements and company procedures.
• Ensure PPE is used and safe working practices are followed by production personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to production team members.
• Coordinate with HR regarding manpower requirements, training and disciplinary matters.
