Job summary

Asticom is seeking an Operations Associate Manager to support the Operations Manager in driving strategic and operational performance at a mall property in Metro Manila. The role focuses on daily operations, safety, sustainability, and collaboration with merchants, customers, and internal teams.

The successful candidate will oversee inspections, cost-saving initiatives, data analysis, and reporting while maintaining high property standards and effective security controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/technical field.
• 3+ years in Operations Management within retail or property management.
• Strong communication across organizational levels.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP/Oracle knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager/General Manager in communicating and aligning strategic objectives for the Operations Department at the mall.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, safety, security, sustainability, and facility management for the assigned mall.
• Conduct daily mall inspections to ensure compliance by merchants, customers, and sub-units.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and sustainability projects to reduce DOEs.
• Document and analyze operational data to identify root causes and propose policy/process improvements.
• Identify and escalate health and safety risks affecting employees, merchants, and visitors.
• Maintain property standards through regular checks and preventive maintenance and enforce security controls.
• Resolve conflicts among merchants, customers, and visitors with security oversight.
• Prepare and submit reports: Daily Operations Inspection, Cost Savings, and KPI monitoring for Operations staff.
• Perform other management-assigned duties.

About the role

As an Operations Associate Manager, you will support the Operations Manager or General Manager in driving the strategic and operational performance of an assigned mall property. You will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, maintaining safety and facility standards, implementing cost-efficiency and sustainability initiatives, and ensuring smooth interactions among merchants, customers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager or General Manager in communicating and aligning the strategic direction and objectives of the Operations Department within your specific mall assignment

• Support the day-to-day management and administration of all operations-related functions and processes for your assigned mall, covering mall operations, safety, security, sustainability, and facility management

• Conduct daily mall inspections—opening, mid-shift, and closing—to ensure full compliance by merchants, customers, and sub-units with established systems and procedures

• Help implement cost-saving initiatives and sustainability projects to reduce Direct Operating Expenses (DOEs)

• Document and analyze operational data and reports to identify root causes of issues and propose improvements to policies and processes

• Identify, document, and escalatory health and safety risks within the mall that may affect employees, merchants, contractors, patrons, and the public

• Maintain high property standards through regular checks and preventive maintenance—including cleanliness, air conditioning levels, lighting, assets and equipment—and enforce security controls across all areas

• Resolve conflicts and disputes among merchants, customers, and visitors—working closely with security—to prevent disruption to mall operations

• Prepare and submit required reports: Summary of Daily Operations Inspection and Monitoring, Summary of Cost Savings Initiatives and Projects, and KRA setting and performance monitoring for Operations Staff

• Perform other management-assigned duties as required

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related business/technical field

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in Operations Management within retail or property management

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio); familiarity with SAP or Oracle is an advantage

• Strong oral and written communication skills—skilled in negotiation, presentation, facilitation, and training across all organizational levels

• Solid project management, planning, people management, and leadership capabilities

• Practical understanding of how financial and business functions interconnect within an organization
