Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect daily machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Schedule maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
• Supervise and evaluate performance of maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues as needed.
• Coordinate with external services and tools suppliers as needed.
• Coordinate machine shop fabrication of parts.

• Prepare energy consumption reports (electricity, water, fuel, LPG) for management.

• Oversee wastewater treatment and air pollution controls.
• Prepare DENR-related documents for permit renewals.
• Submit required documents to Main Office for OSHA and other renewals.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conducts the daily inspection of all machinery and equipment, making sure that these are in good working condition.
• Schedules the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery and equipment.
• Assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of the Maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment problems, if necessary.
• Requests and follows up, if necessary, the outside/technical services and additional tools needed by the Maintenance Section.
• Coordinates with the machine shops for the fabrication of machine parts.
• Reports machinery/equipment failure and the status of machinery/equipment maintenance and repair work to the Plant Manager.
• Prepares the plant's energy consumption report (electricity, water, fuel, LPG) and submits this to Management.
• Plans, supervises and reports the plant improvements to Management.
• Acts as the Pollution Control Officer for the manufacturing plant.
• Oversees the working condition of the plant's wastewater treatment facility and air pollution devices.
• Prepares the quarterly Self-Monitoring Reports, forwards these to the Main Office for signature and notarization, and then submit these to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
• Prepares and forwards to the Main Office the required documents that will be submitted to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for permit renewal purposes.
• Prepares and forwards to the Main Office the required documents that will be submitted to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for permit renewal purposes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 2 year(s) work experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate.
• Above average oral and written English communication skills.
• Responsible, has initiative and can work well under pressure
• Able to multitask.
