Job summary

PETROPLAS TRADING INCORPORATED in San Pedro City, Laguna, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team. This full-time role ensures safe, reliable operation of plant machinery, plans preventive programs, and drives continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency.

You will mentor technicians, manage budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the facility. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in maintenance leadership in manufacturing, strong troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a maintenance supervisory or senior technician role in manufacturing/engineering packaging
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Experience planning and scheduling preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to lead and develop staff and manage budgets
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Experience with ISO standards and quality management systems (preferred)

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our facility in San Pedro City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our maintenance operations of our machineries. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, managing technical teams and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is central to our operational success and directly impacts the productivity and safety of our facility.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
• Lead, mentor and manage maintenance technicians and craftspeople, providing direction, training and performance feedback
• Conduct equipment inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and documentation for all equipment and completed work orders
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
• Communicate with production and operations teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize operational disruptions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance maintenance efficiency
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs relating to spare parts, materials and labor
• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Prepare maintenance reports and present findings to senior management

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory or senior technician role within the engineering, manufacturing or packaging plastic industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment
• Proven experience in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance programs
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to industrial maintenance
• Competency in maintenance management software and computerized systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in maintenance engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
• Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques (preferred)
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems (preferred)
