What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable plant operations. This role supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
  1. Maintenance and Repairs:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.

    • Replace or repair defective components, such as wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical parts.

  2. Preventive Maintenance:

    • Execute preventive maintenance tasks based on schedules provided by the Electrical Planner and Shift Supervisor.

    • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.

    • Document maintenance activities, including observations, repairs, and component replacements.

  3. System and Equipment Testing:

    • Conduct tests on electrical systems and equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards.

    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze system performance and identify inefficiencies.

    • Collaborate with other technicians to calibrate and fine-tune systems for optimal operation.

  4. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.

    • Conduct risk assessments and report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.

    • Ensure compliance with industry codes and company policies related to electrical systems.

  5. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with the Supervisors, Preventive Maintenance Inspectors, and Production Teams to coordinate maintenance tasks.

    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about progress, challenges, and solutions.

    • Support training initiatives by sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.

  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in initiatives to improve the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment.

    • Provide feedback on maintenance procedures and suggest enhancements to optimize operations.

    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in electrical maintenance.

What are the Qualifications?
  1. Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

    • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments.

    • Licensure as a Registered Master Electrician or equivalent is preferred; licensure as a Licensed Electrical Engineer is an advantage.

  2. Technical Expertise:

    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.

    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and maintenance management systems.

  3. Problem-Solving Skills:
