Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, motors, turbines and hydraulics.
• Proficient in CMMS and maintenance planning.
• Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Eaton. This is a full-time position, supporting our operations in the region with relocation support. As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of our mechanical equipment and systems. This position is vital to our operational excellence and directly contributes to minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and systems
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to identify potential failures before they occur
• Perform maintenance planning and scheduling to minimize operational disruptions and ensure equipment availability
• Analyse equipment performance data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
• Design and oversee the implementation of maintenance solutions and upgrades to mechanical systems
• Collaborate with operations teams to establish maintenance standards and best practices
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and documentation for compliance and record-keeping purposes
• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure availability of critical components
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians on proper equipment handling and maintenance procedures
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, motors, turbines, and hydraulic systems
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
• Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and condition monitoring technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in technical documentation and report writing
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Preferred experience with equipment from Eaton Industries or similar multinational industrial companies
• Preferred certification in maintenance engineering or equivalent professional credentials
