Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Cavite to keep production equipment operating safely and reliably. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and assist with setup/changeovers while minimizing downtime.

You will also maintain maintenance records, manage spare parts, and support safety compliance and improvement projects, reporting to the Maintenance Engineer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of electronic components operation.
  • Familiarity with electropneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Willingness to work in shifting schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues.
  • Support line setup and model changeovers; verify installation and startup.
  • Maintain maintenance history, spare parts usage, and downtime records.
  • Support safety compliance and risk reduction; participate in TPM/OEE initiatives.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues; supporting equipment setup and changeovers; and minimizing downtime. The technician also supports safety compliance, maintenance documentation, spare parts management, continuous improvement initiatives, and the installation and commissioning of new equipment. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment used in magnetics and cable manufacturing.
  • Ensure machines operate safely, reliably, and within specified parameters.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime by identifying early signs of equipment deterioration.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and line stoppages.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues.
  • Diagnose root causes of failures and implement durable repairs.
  • Escalate complex issues to Equipment or Manufacturing Engineers when required.
  • Support line restart and verify equipment performance after repair.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Execution
  • Execute scheduled PM activities per maintenance plans and checklists.
  • Perform tasks such as:
  • Cleaning, lubrication, alignment, and calibration
  • Replacement of wear parts (belts, bearings, guides, heaters, sensors)
  • Record maintenance history, findings, and corrective actions accurately.
Equipment Setup & Changeover Support
  • Assist production and process teams during machine setup and model changeovers.
  • Install and adjust tooling, dies, molds, fixtures, and guides.
  • Verify correct installation to prevent setup‑related downtime or defects.
  • Support fine‑tuning of equipment during startup or after extended downtime.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Control
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures including:
  • Machine guarding and interlock verification
  • Electrical and mechanical safety standards
  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals (resins, varnish, solvents, insulation compounds).
  • Report and correct safety hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Support compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal safety requirements.
Spare Parts & Maintenance Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of:
  • Equipment repairs, PM activities, and downtime
  • Spare parts usage and replenishment needs
  • Support spare parts inventory management to avoid critical shortages.
  • Identify standardization opportunities for consumables and replacement parts.
  • Help improve maintenance procedures and job instructions based on hands‑on experience.
  • Identify recurring failures and suggest equipment or maintenance improvements.
  • Participate in TPM, OEE, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Support root cause analysis for chronic equipment issues.
Support New Equipment & Process Changes
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
  • Support FAT, and acceptance testing activities.
  • Provide feedback on maintainability, access, and serviceability of new machines.
  • Help train operators and technicians on new or modified equipment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a bachelor’s degree or Technology in Electronics or any equivalent field
  • With at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable in electronic components operation and application
  • Knowledgeable in basic Electropneumatic, mechanical and electricals.
  • Willingness to work in shifting schedule
