Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Laguna to oversee the Maintenance Department. You will lead asset management, facilities and utilities operations, and PM planning, aligning with quality, safety, and HR systems to maximize OEE and cost savings.

The role focuses on capital expenditure execution, budget control, and end-to-end maintenance across line maintenance and instrumentation, facilities, and inventory management.

About the role

Reporting under the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for overseeing efficient and effective operations of the Maintenance Department spanning asset management & inventory control, facilities and utilities operations, preventive maintenance planning & execution, and line maintenance and instrumentation, following implementation of applicable maintenance, quality, occupational safety and HR systems, anchored with business needs and objectives. The Maintenance Manager shall ensure implementation of capital expenditure projects and control repairs & maintenance budget, ensuring efficient resource management focused on maximizing overall equipment effectiveness, and cost savings & improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Team by overseeing and managing maintenance operations based on execution plans and targets, ensuring operational compliance based on key performance indicators and key results areas, as aligned with business objectives and business needs
• Monitor strategic planning activities, and execution of plans and programs of the Department
• Ensure implementation of policies and internal memorandum; and align with updates on implemented policies and standards related to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC
• Ensure and lead implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance within the perimeters of the site, serving as process champion for breakdown analyses, basic equipment care, and PM planning
• Oversee end-to-end resource management including repairs and maintenance budget allocations, PM planning & execution, and inventory control of spare parts and maintenance consumables
• Represent the organization in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Corporate Maintenance Group and other Maintenance Managers from different plants
• Perform assigned tasks for subordinates including daily direction settings, capability development, talent management, employee discipline, and performance & goals management

About you

• Graduate of any engineering course, preferably with license/certification on Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Professional-level license or graduate studies, preferably related to Business Administration or Engineering
• At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing industry, 3 years of which in managerial capacity
• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing
• Deep knowledge in end-to-end value chain management for Maintenance operations spanning Line Maintenance & Instrumentation, Facilities & Utilities Operations, Asset Management & Inventory Control, and PM Planning & Execution
• Aptitude in implementing relevant management systems in the food industry, including Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL and FSSC
• Prominent leadership, communication and basic management skills (planning, leading, organizing and controlling)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams) and SAP
• Excellent people management skills, backed by solid experience in coaching, mentoring, employee discipline, performance management, talent development and change management
• Familiarity with labor laws and line human resources functions
