Job summary

Passepartout Phils., Inc. is seeking a competent Maintenance and EHS Supervisor to strengthen the Maintenance Department at its facility in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The role requires overseeing daily maintenance, EHS activities, and continuous improvement across three plants to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, relevant certifications, and hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, with strong leadership and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and plant facilities.
• DOLE Safety Officer certification (e.g., BOSH/COSH) and DENR Pollution Control Officer accreditation preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Maintenance Operations Management

• Supervise daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery, tools, equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor maintenance work orders based on priorities, deadlines, and production needs.
• Ensure urgent repairs are addressed promptly to minimize production delays.
• Coordinate and supervise facility and equipment maintenance across all three plants.

Environmental, Health, and Safety Team Management

• Supervise daily EHS activities across all three manufacturing sites, setting clear performance expectations and directing daily operations.
• Lead regular risk assessments, site audits, and hazard evaluations to maintain full compliance with DOLE standards, DENR regulations, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Direct incident investigations, near-miss and environmental nonconformance investigations and ensuring timely root cause analyses, ensuring immediate implementation of corrective and preventive measures across all facilities.
• Oversee implementation of operational controls for workplace safety, environment protection, chemical management, waste management, site safety training programs, safety committee meetings, and emergency response readiness plans.
• Manage the accurate preparation and timely filing of environmental permits, safety metrics, hazardous waste disposal, workplace environment monitoring, and official compliance reports.
• Ensure maintenance and EHS activities comply with MEPZ II regulations, DOLE safety standards, DENR environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols during production operations.
• Oversee contractor and visitor compliance with company EHS requirements during maintenance, construction, and project activities.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, prepare management reports, and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer in environmental and occupational health compliance.

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

• Plan, implement, and monitor annual preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and oversee repairs for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure requested corrective maintenance activities are properly prioritized, executed, documented, and root causes addressed with preventive actions.

Resource and Inventory Management

• Coordinate procurement and availability of spare parts, tools, and consumables to prevent production interruptions.
• Monitor and control maintenance budget, materials usage, and inventory levels.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage and readiness.

Technical Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including PM checklists, breakdown reports, downtime analysis, and equipment history.
• Develop and update technical documentation such as SOPs, safety checklists, machine manuals, and reference materials.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance performance reports.

Team Leadership and Development

• Mentor and evaluate maintenance and EHS staff, ensuring adequate training and skill development.
• Train production staff on safe equipment usage and basic maintenance best practices.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance and EHS teams.

Continuous Improvement and Project Support

• Lead assigned improvement projects for plant modifications, construction, and upgrades, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to extend equipment life, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams for new equipment installation and commissioning.

Collaboration and Communication

• Lead the maintenance and EHS teams in responding to emergency breakdowns and facility-related incidents.
• Ensure rapid diagnosis, repair, and safe restart of affected systems.
• Participate as necessary in management meetings to provide updates on maintenance performance, issues, and improvement plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Systems and Facilities Management.
• DOLE Safety Officer certification, such as BOSH or COSH, and DENR Pollution Control Officer accreditation.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Experience in managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
