Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a seasoned Microsoft 365 Administrator to maintain the health and security of the M365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, Entra and Defender. You will implement security controls, automate tasks with PowerShell, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve incidents.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 tools, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to document processes and participate in change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technically related field of study or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience in administration of other Microsoft 365 tools and products such as OneDrive, Power Automate, Power Apps, Stream, Power BI, Forms, Intune
• Experience with Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, audit log reviews and interpretation
• Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API
• Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills
• Apply sound IT processes, with a focus on security and best practices
• Provide hands-on technical support
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, especially Exchange Online, Teams, and Entra (Azure Active Directory)
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Cloud security and best practices, including Microsoft 365 compliance, security, anti-spam tools
• Familiarity with Windows PowerShell for task automation and configuration
• Critical thinking skills, accountability and taking ownership of issues and projects
• Excellent English communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to work both independently and in a group
• Use of Microsoft Office products to create and maintain documentation

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the operational health of the M365 Suite Applications including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.
• Administer and support Exchange Online and Entra (Azure AD). Will also support Teams, OneDrive for business, Microsoft Defender and other M365 centers.
• Apply Email Security and administer SEG (Security Email Gateways, i.e. Proofpoint and Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
• Troubleshoot various Microsoft 365 issues including connectivity and mobility.
• Update ticket technical details, document new processes, create guidelines for new solutions, update infrastructure documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of assets and coordinates changes as required.
• Creates all required technical documentation in accordance with company change control and project management processes and procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues interfacing other teams including the Global Service Desk and the Network Operations Center
• Provides after hours on-call support in case of issues escalations.
