Job summary

Raffles and Fairmont Makati seek a seasoned Events Manager to lead luxury social events from initial brief through execution and post-event follow-up. You will be the primary contact, tailor experiences to guest needs, and coordinate with hotel departments and suppliers for menus, décor, entertainment, and seamless service.

The role focuses on driving revenue through upselling, monitoring budgets, and upholding brand and safety standards while cultivating repeat business.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a degree in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in events at a similar capacity in a luxury hotel is an asset.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate, train and supervise a team of employees.
• Experience with Opera and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers luxury social events from initial consultation through execution and post-event follow-up, including proposals, contracts, timelines, floor plans, and Banquet Event Orders.
• Handles the client experience by acting as the main point of contact, personalizing events, accommodating cultural and dietary needs, and handling special requests or service recovery professionally.
• Coordinates with hotel departments and external suppliers to execute menus, décor, entertainment, accommodation, transportation, technical requirements, setup, service, and breakdown.
• Drives revenue and ensure compliance by maximizing upselling opportunities, monitoring budgets and billing, maintaining brand and safety standards, and developing repeat and referral business.
