Job summary

Fairmont Makati is seeking an experienced chef to lead the culinary team in a luxury hotel setting in Makati, Manila. You will ensure standardized recipes, uphold food safety, and drive training and development of colleagues to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a keen eye for quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction, along with overseeing ordering, inventory, and overall kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Culinary Arts or related discipline is an asset.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a luxury hotel and kitchen operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cooking methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures standardized recipes are utilized and oversees ordering, inventory, and food controls.
• Adheres to culinary standards and guidelines in preparation and methods; maintains sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Motivates and engages staff, supporting training and development of colleagues.
