Job summary

LoveYourself, Inc. is seeking a Medical Doctor/Physician to support gender-affirming care across multiple clinics in the Philippines. The role involves trauma-informed exams, prescribing appropriate treatments, and educating clients on health management within a patient-centered team.

The position is part-time (6 hours per week) and reports to the Clinic Manager. Candidates must adhere to safety standards and participate in ongoing medical education to offer evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Provide gender-affirming medical care and counseling.
• Perform trauma-informed physical examinations.
• Prescribe treatments and medications as appropriate.
• Maintain clinical competency and documentation.
• Ensure DOH/PhilHealth compliance and infection control.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Medical Doctor/Physician will support the duty station in providing gender affirmative care, s/he will:

• Perform tasks observing the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and professional accountability
• Conducts trauma informed physical examinations to determine a patient’s general physical condition.
• Maintains clinical competency, as demonstrated in providing and directing client care
• Orders and executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images. Administers or prescribes treatments and drugs, including but not limited to ART, PrEP, PEP, Transgender Health , and related treatments/programs.
• Provides education to clients and personal support systems in areas such as disease management, safer sex, adherence, etc.
• Documents services performed for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Communicate with other staff members concerning client care issues and function as a part of the primary care team using evidence-informed guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with DOH, PhilHealth, and other regulatory agencies’ statutes and standards
• Complies with safety standards and infection control.
• Refers clients to medical specialists or other practitioners for necessary specialized treatment, follows client results, and completes necessary documentation.
• Assists in educational programs for staff and participates in team meetings.
• Promotes teamwork, good interpersonal relations, and communication among staff and volunteers
• Aligns with and champions gender affirmative culture, core principles, and programs.
• Participates in continuing medical education and training to provide evidence-based, up-to-date care for patients.
