The role emphasizes reducing costs to sales while maintaining high standards in handling dispatched items and preventing pilferage or mishandling in both in-house and third-party trucking arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Dispatch Teams: Manage and coordinate the operations of a dispatch team, ensuring communication between warehouse, drivers, helpers, invoicers and logistics staff.
• Resolving Issues: Address scheduling, delivery regulation compliance, and coordination with clients and drivers.
• Training and Coaching: Coach performance, handle escalated issues, and maintain coordination between dispatch, drivers, customers and operations.
• Cost to Sales: Plan trips efficiently and seek 3rd party truckers to manage dispatch costs.
• Handling of Stocks: Prevent pilferages and mishandling by in-house or third-party truckers.
• OTIF: Ensure on-time and in-full deliveries and hit daily dispatch targets with Production Planning, Warehouse, Sales and Ops.

Job description

The logistics supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of dispatch teams, ensuring that drivers are assigned, loads are covered, freight is tracked, and problems are resolved efficiently. Ensure third party trucking companies abide in the dispatching policies of the company, maintain low cost to sales and ensure highest standards in handling dispatched items.

Overseeing Dispatch Teams: Manage and coordinate the operations of a dispatch team, ensuring smooth and efficient communication between the warehouse team, drivers, helpers, invoicers and logistics staffs.

Resolving Issues: Resolve any arising issues related to dispatch services, including scheduling, compliance with delivery regulations, and coordination with clients and drivers.

Training and Coaching: Coach performance, handle escalated issues, and maintain the coordination between dispatch, drivers, customers, and operations.

Cost to Sales: Efficiently plan trips and constantly look for 3rd party truckers to manage dispatching cost of the company.

Handling of Stocks: Ensures highly efficient process that will not allow any pilferages and bad orders due to mishandling of in house or third-party truckers.

OTIF: Ensures on time and in full deliveries and hit the daily dispatching target by constant coordination with Production Planning, Warehouse, Sales and Operations.
