MSCS Primegoods Inc. is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day supervision and coordination of transportation and delivery operations, ensuring orders are dispatched and delivered accurately, safely, and on schedule.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the company’s transportation and delivery operations, ensuring that customer orders are dispatched and delivered accurately, safely, efficiently, and within required schedules. The role oversees dispatch planning, route assignment, driver and delivery personnel performance, vehicle utilization, delivery documentation, and resolution of delivery-related issues, while closely coordinating with Sales, Warehouse, Customer Service, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery operations. The position focuses on the execution and control of logistics activities, while overall operational direction, policy authority, and strategic decision-making remain with the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Logistics Operations and Dispatch
Supervise daily logistics activities to ensure timely and organized dispatch and delivery operations.
Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure order readiness for dispatch.
Prepare and assign daily delivery schedules, routes, drivers, helpers, and vehicles.
Monitor dispatch execution and ensure adherence to schedules.
Track delivery status and report delays, failures, or reschedules.
Escalate major operational disruptions to the Operations Manager.
2. Route Planning and Delivery Optimization
Develop efficient delivery routes to maximize vehicle utilization and reduce cost and travel time.
Review and optimize delivery schedules and stop sequencing.
Coordinate with Warehouse and Sales on order priorities and availability.
Adjust routes based on traffic, breakdowns, weather, or urgent requirements.
Communicate all route and schedule changes to concerned personnel.
Monitor delivery lead times and identify recurring delays.
3. Driver, Delivery Personnel, and Fleet Supervision
Supervise drivers, helpers, and logistics personnel including attendance and performance.
Monitor compliance with schedules, safety standards, and delivery procedures.
Conduct coaching on safe driving, customer handling, and company policies.
Investigate delivery issues, complaints, and incidents; recommend corrective actions.
Monitor vehicle availability, assignment, condition, and utilization.
Oversee fuel usage, maintenance coordination, and fleet readiness.
4. Delivery Execution and Customer Coordination
Monitor deliveries from dispatch to completion.
Ensure proper handling and delivery of all company products.
Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service on delivery issues, delays, and disputes.
Resolve delivery concerns and ensure proper documentation of discrepancies, returns, and damages.
Coordinate with Warehouse for proper turnover of returned or undelivered items.
Monitor recurring delivery issues and recommend preventive actions.
5. Logistics Documentation and Reporting
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all delivery documents (DRs, trip tickets, logs, fuel records).
Monitor timely submission and proper filing of logistics records.
Coordinate with Finance for billing, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
Identify and correct missing or inconsistent documentation.
Prepare regular logistics performance and operational reports.
Maintain organized records of all logistics transactions and incidents.
6. Performance Monitoring, Safety, and Compliance
Monitor logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, completion rate, fuel efficiency, and complaints.
Analyze performance trends and recommend operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety policies, traffic laws, and company procedures.
Report accidents, incidents, and safety violations immediately.
Promote safe driving practices and proper use of PPE.
Support investigations and recommend preventive measures.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination and Process Improvement
Coordinate with Warehouse, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance for daily operations.
Serve as primary coordinator for day-to-day logistics concerns.
Escalate major issues requiring management intervention.
Identify inefficiencies in routing, dispatch, and delivery processes.
Recommend and support improvements in logistics SOPs and cost efficiency.
Assist in team coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
