The Logistics Coordinator or Journey Officer, Logistics Control Center Operations, is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of the logistics dispatch operations team. The role ensures strict adherence to road safety standards, maximizes truck utilization, and maintains optimal customer service levels through on-time delivery.
Monitors and tracks driver behavior utilizing the In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS). Generates safety compliance data, provides evidence for incident investigations, and coordinates directly with transporter management and site operations to address driving infractions.
Tracks daily fleet availability, turn-around times (TAT), and trip distances against target benchmarks. Validating delays, analyzing underutilized trips, and detecting operational bottlenecks, providing data-driven insights to maximize overall fleet productivity.
Oversees real-time delivery progress against planned schedules to guarantee alignment with customer service levels. Proactively flags potential delivery risks and coordinates cross-functionally with transporters and site operations to mitigate delays.
Governs the accuracy of all logistics dashboards and Yard-In/Gate-Out (YIGO) timestamps. Reconciles automated data with physical plant logs, troubleshoots system irregularities with IT/vendors, and translates cycle-time analytics into actionable process improvements.
Must have a degree in business, engineering or any other related disciplines.
Must have a minimum two (2) years experience in customer services roles.
Proven exposure to transport and cargo handling, geography, port/customer operations, safety and security, and basic administration/economics.
Knowledge of plant operations and hands-on familiarity with SAP program operations are a plus.
